6/18/26 - Animal Well. A tiny puzzle exploration game about examining the behaviors of silly animals and manipulating them with childrens toys. Cute and whimsical while being sheathed in a mysterious and sometimes foreboding CRT TV aesthetic that creates a very ancient lush feeling to the caves it takes place in. It's a rare piece of art that feels so Me that I am jealous I didn't make it.

6/4/26 - The Feather Thief - Kirk W. Johnson. Fantastic nonfiction book covering the surreal story of a young flautist who broke into a museum in 2009 to steal 299 birds to get rare feathers for use in tying fishing flies while also saving up money for a golden flute... My feelings of bemusement at the absurdity of the story slowly gave way to a deep disgust at the natural history lost at the hands of someone who thought himself higher than community focused historical institutions and environmental protection legislation in an era of rapid species extinction.

6/2/26 - The Truman Show. Watched with my girlfriend recently, we were wowed by it's restraint in handling what could have been a much more darkly depicted subject matter. Love movies that still know how to have fun.
